    PRO
AXIS (Pro Germany, ANTI ALLIES (US, England, Soviet Union) Both Pro and Anti Italian cards written in Italian & Portuguese. Authentic unused postcards. One even marked as printed in Berlin.
    #1 In
    Portuguese
    ,
FDR Roosevelt and Winston Churchill  (BOTH DRESSED AS WOMEN – IN DRAG!!) Leading  Joseph Stalin to Number 10 (Downing Street?)  A rough translation is   “
As two young girls, “Since we have reached this point, any subject (underling?) serves us.”
Remember, at the start of WWII, the Soviet Union was allied with Germany in a non-aggression pact. In 1941, Germany invaded Russia, driving the Soviet Union to the arms of England and the United States.  The implication of the Allies willing to “seduce” Stalin is remarkable.  This card may have been an effort to dissuade (neutral) Portugal from being “seduced” to join the ALLIES.  Unused, 10cm X 15 cm
    Printed in Berlin
Italian Card (anti Mussolini)  Shows Il Duce marked as “
    THE TRAITOR
” stealing money from a safe with the vision of Italian Girabaldi Patriot clutching his heart proclaiming “
    Viva Italia
.” with the dates of the Italian Fascist State (23 March1919 to 16 September 1943)   A rough translation of the text in red at the bottom is  “
This is why he is absent: Thief and Traitor
”  When Italy surrendered to the Allies, Mussolini tried to go into hiding. The Germans in Italy tried to take control and continue fighting. This card would perhaps try to convince Italians to abandon the Traitor Mussolini and support the Germans. Italians found and hanged Mussolini in a very public manner. 11.4 cm X 14.5 cm
Italian Card (Pro Mussolini) This card celebrates the Unification of Italy, giving credit to Mussolini. It shows a small withered king (Vittorio Emanuele II ??) on an oversized throne with crown, with Mussolini giving the the fascist salute. The top caption says
    “The things larger than him”
    The bottom caption reads:
“28 October 1922: Majesty, I bring you the Italy of Vittorio Veneto”
A World War I battle when Italy defeated the remnants of the Austrian Hungarian Empire and unified Italy.  The implication is a vibrant Mussolini and a doddering King Emanuele II  (perhaps issued when Italy was a German Ally and an AXIS power)  11.4 cm X 14.5 cm
Italian (Anti Allies) Card shows a large boot, (with American, British, and Soviet emblems) KICKING a crouching fighter aiming at German troops through a crumbling window.  The caption reads “
The logical end of the rebel” (resistance fighter?)
The implication is that those Italians rebelling or resisting the Germans would eventually be ‘booted’ or betrayed by the Allies. 11.4 cm X 14.5 cm.
The last card, in Italian, is anti Allies, anti Semitic,  and anti Catholic.  It shows a Roman style chariot emblazoned with a Jewish Star of David being pulled by four figures (unflattering caricatures of  FDR Roosevelt, Churchill, Stalin, and the Pope (note the papist hat worn by Italian clerics) The Chariot is driven by a Semetic looking figure (maybe Ben Gurion?)  He is whipping the Allies with a six strand whip. Each strand is labeled as: Capitalism, Democracy, Plutarcracy, Clericalism (Bureauracy) Liberalism, and Communism)   The caption in red reads “
    The Master Servants
”  The implication is the Masters (Allies) are Servants to a Jewish Charrioteer.  11.4 cm X 14.5 cm
